IHM will continue the tradition of donating 150 Easter Baskets to children living at Mary’s Place in Minneapolis. Your donation helps to defray the cost of the supplies we purchase. Donations can be placed in the collection basket, brought to the parish office or donate online through Vanco HERE, then “Easter Basket-Service Project”. For check donations, please note “Easter Baskets” in the memo line, and note “Easter Basket” on the envelope for monetary donations. Thank you for your past generosity for this project!
Mary's Place offers transitional apartments for homeless people and their children. To learn more about Mary's Place, visit their website HERE.
Basket assembly will be Wednesday, March 20 after the 9:15 am Mass (about 9:50 am).
IHM will be partnering with Hennepin County’s Health Care for the Homeless which runs nine clinics at drop-in centers and homeless shelters plus manages an extensive outreach program for people sleeping in cars. We are collecting gift cards to Target, Walmart or Visa cards in increments of $10 to $25. Gift cards help to offset some of the basic needs of the homeless the shelter cannot provide.
Donations can be dropped off in the Gather Space in the marked box on the table, drop in the collection basket or bring to the Parish Office. If you would like to write a check, please make the check out to "Hennepin County Health Care for the Homeless."
IHM will have a table in the Gather Space for food collection now through Palm Sunday. To donate online, visit the IHM website Vanco link HERE then “ICA Foodshelf Mtka.” There will also be a second collection the weekend of March 16-17.
If you didn’t get to make your donation or pledge for the Catholic Services Appeal Foundation, there’s still time! A percentage of the pledges are returned to IHM for our ministries for the amount exceeding our goal. This year your donation helps Catholic Schools, Elevate Life, St. Lawrence Newman Center, Hospital Chaplains, and the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women. To learn more or to donate, pick up a brochure (also a donation envelope) in the Gather Space or visit the Archdiocese website at www.archspm.org/catholic-services-appeal/.
