The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Join us for a block party!

The day will begin with a Fun Run in the morning, and then enjoy the Teddy Bear Band, Classic Cars, Food Trucks, Corn Hole Tournament, Bingo, kid activities, Llamas, Outdoor Mass at 4:30 pm (weather permitting), then end with music from the Last Pickd String Band!

5K Fun Run

Register for the Fun Run in the Parish Office or online HERE. Don't forget to fill out your waiver form! A waiver form must be filled out to participate. Waiver Form for Adult (OVER 18 years) is HERE. Waiver for youth (UNDER 18 years) is HERE. Bring the filled out Waiver form to the Parish Office, drop in the collection basket, or email completed Waiver forms to kdennehy@ihm-cc.org. Cost for the Run is $15 and includes a free t-shirt while supplies last. Click HERE to pay online, and don't forget to fill out the waiver form above! Check in time for the Race is 9:00 am on Saturday, June 17. The Race will start at 10:00 am.

Corn Hole Tournament - Don't miss out as total teams are limited!

Join in the fun! Cost is $20 per team of two people, and this will be used for cash prizes for winners. Sign up in the Gather Space after Mass for a team, and pay online at ihm-cc.org/giving, then click on "Online Giving." Corn Hole begins at Noon.
 

 Car Show

Cost to show your car is $10. Sign up online HERE. Sign up online on our website HERE. Registration cost includes two free drink tickets! Prizes will be awarded. Car show will be 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

 

The Bands

Teddy Bear Band
Enjoy the Teddy Bear Band! This LIVE interactive band is a delight for toddlers thorugh elementary age. Band will perform from 110:00 to 11:45 am. Don't forget to bring your favorite stuffed animal! To learn more about the Teddy Bear Band, visit their website HERE.

Last Pickd String Band 
After Mass, enjoy the Last Pickd String Band, beginning approximately at 5:45 until 8:00 pm. Enjoy a blend of "traditional bluegrass flavored with Americana, country and folk. To learn more about the band, click HERE.

 

Fun for All Ages

Llamas
Meet the Llamas from Llama Mama MN from Noon to 2:00 pm. To learn more about the Llamas, visit HERE.

Food Trucks

Beer Garden
Serving begins at Noon.

1:00 to 3:30 pm. Cards are still only $5 each! Bring Cash or Check to purchase.

Minnetonka Police K9 Unit
3:00 to 3:45 pm.  Enjoy a program from the Minnetonka Police Department K-9 unit. These officers and dogs are important assets to police work, and are used for search and rescue, drug identification, suspect tracking and crime prevention. Minnetonka first enlisted K-9 units in 1976, and has had numerous K-9 officers and dogs, typically German Shepherds or Belgian Malinois.

Children's Activities
Chalk Art Contest
Noon to 2:00 pm. The theme will be Noah's Arc, with judging 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Gift cards for winners! Chalk will be provided.

Hula Hoop Contest
2:15 to 3:00 pm

Minnetonka Police K9 Unit
3:00 to 3:45 pm.
 

Volunteers Needed!

Many hands make a light load as well as a successful event! Sign up sheets are in the Gather Space, with volunteers needed beginning Friday, June 16 after 9:15 am Daily Mass, early Saturday morning set up as well as Fun Run volunteers, event volunteers during the day and then ending with break down after the Last Pickd String Band. Can you help out for a few hours? Check out the Green sheets in the Gather Space!

Immaculate Heart of Mary celebrates the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary with a community-building event. The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is usually a Saturday in June.

 

What does the Immaculate Heart of Mary mean?

The Immaculate Heart of Mary signifies, first of all, the great purity and love of the heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary for God. This purity is manifested in her “Yes” to the Father at the Incarnation, Her love for, and cooperation with, the Incarnate Son in His redemptive mission, and her docility to the Holy Spirit, enabling her to remain free of the stain of personal sin throughout her life.
